NIVThis is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah1:1Or Jesus Christ. Messiah(Hebrew) and Christ(Greek) both mean Anointed One; also in verse 18. the son of David, the son of Abraham:
1:2和合本亞伯拉罕生以撒；以撒生雅各；雅各生猶大和他的弟兄；
NIVAbraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,
1:3和合本猶大從他瑪氏生法勒斯和謝拉；法勒斯生希斯崙；希斯崙生亞蘭；
NIVJudah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,

NIVRam the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon,

1:15和合本以律生以利亞撒；以利亞撒生馬但；馬但生雅各；
NIVElihud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,
1:16和合本雅各生約瑟，就是馬利亞的丈夫。那稱為基督的耶穌是從馬利亞生的。
NIVand Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.
1:17和合本這樣，從亞伯拉罕到大衛共有十四代；從大衛到遷至巴比倫的時候也有十四代；從遷至巴比倫的時候到基督又有十四代。
NIVThus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.
1:18和合本耶穌基督降生的事記在下面：他母親馬利亞已經許配了約瑟，還沒有迎娶，馬利亞就從聖靈懷了孕。
NIVThis is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about : His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.
1:19和合本他丈夫約瑟是個義人，不願意明明的羞辱他，想要暗暗的把他休了。
NIVBecause Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
1:20和合本正思念這事的時候，有主的使者向他夢中顯現，說：「大衛的子孫約瑟，不要怕！只管娶過你的妻子馬利亞來，因他所懷的孕是從聖靈來的。
NIVBut after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
1:21和合本他將要生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫耶穌，因他要將自己的百姓從罪惡裡救出來。」
NIVShe will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
1:22和合本這一切的事成就是要應驗主藉先知所說的話，
NIVAll this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
1:23和合本說：「必有童女懷孕生子；人要稱他的名為以馬內利。」（以馬內利繙出來就是「神與我們同在」。）
NIV"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").
1:24和合本約瑟醒了，起來，就遵著主使者的吩咐把妻子娶過來；
NIVWhen Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.
1:25和合本只是沒有和他同房，等他生了兒子（有古卷：等他生了頭胎的兒子），就給他起名叫耶穌。
NIVBut he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.


Matthew Chapter 2

2:1和合本當希律王的時候，耶穌生在猶太的伯利恆。有幾個博士從東方來到耶路撒冷，說：
NIVAfter Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem
2:2和合本「那生下來作猶太人之王的在那裡？我們在東方看見他的星，特來拜他。」
NIVand asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him."
2:3和合本希律王聽見了，就心裡不安；耶路撒冷合城的人也都不安。
NIVWhen King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
2:4和合本他就召齊了祭司長和民間的文士，問他們說：「基督當生在何處？」
NIVWhen he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born.
2:5和合本他們回答說：「在猶太的伯利恆。因為有先知記著，說：
NIV"In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:
2:6和合本猶大地的伯利恆啊，你在猶大諸城中並不是最小的；因為將來有一位君王要從你那裡出來，牧養我以色列民。」
NIV" 'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.' "
2:7和合本當下，希律暗暗的召了博士來，細問那星是什麼時候出現的，
NIVThen Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.
2:8和合本就差他們往伯利恆去，說：「你們去仔細尋訪那小孩子，尋到了，就來報信，我也好去拜他。」
NIVHe sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."
2:9和合本他們聽見王的話就去了。在東方所看見的那星忽然在他們前頭行，直行到小孩子的地方，就在上頭停住了。
NIVAfter they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.
2:10和合本他們看見那星，就大大的歡喜；
NIVWhen they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
2:11和合本進了房子，看見小孩子和他母親馬利亞，就俯伏拜那小孩子，揭開寶盒，拿黃金、乳香、沒藥為禮物獻給他。
NIVOn coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
2:12和合本博士因為在夢中被主指示不要回去見希律，就從別的路回本地去了。
NIVAnd having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
2:13和合本他們去後，有主的使者向約瑟夢中顯現，說：「起來！帶著小孩子同他母親逃往埃及，住在那裡，等我吩咐你；因為希律必尋找小孩子，要除滅他。」
NIVWhen they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."
2:14和合本約瑟就起來，夜間帶著小孩子和他母親往埃及去，
NIVSo he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt,
2:15和合本住在那裡，直到希律死了。這是要應驗主藉先知所說的話，說：「我從埃及召出我的兒子來。」
NIVwhere he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."
2:16和合本希律見自己被博士愚弄，就大大發怒，差人將伯利恆城裡並四境所有的男孩，照著他向博士仔細查問的時候，凡兩歲以裡的，都殺盡了。
NIVWhen Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi.
2:17和合本這就應了先知耶利米的話，說：
NIVThen what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled:
2:18和合本在拉瑪聽見號咷大哭的聲音，是拉結哭他兒女，不肯受安慰，因為他們都不在了。
NIV"A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more."
2:19和合本希律死了以後，有主的使者在埃及向約瑟夢中顯現，說：
NIVAfter Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt
2:20和合本「起來！帶著小孩子和他母親往以色列地去，因為要害小孩子性命的人已經死了。」
NIVand said, "Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child's life are dead."
2:21和合本約瑟就起來，把小孩子和他母親帶到以色列地去；
NIVSo he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel.
2:22和合本只因聽見亞基老接著他父親希律作了猶太王，就怕往那裡去，又在夢中被主指示，便往加利利境內去了，
NIVBut when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,
2:23和合本到了一座城，名叫拿撒勒，就住在那裡。這是要應驗先知所說，他將稱為拿撒勒人的話了。
NIVand he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene.

Matthew Chapter 3

3:1和合本那時，有施洗的約翰出來，在猶太的曠野傳道，說：
NIVIn those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea
3:2和合本「天國近了，你們應當悔改！」
NIVand saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."
3:3和合本這人就是先知以賽亞所說的。他說：「在曠野有人聲喊著說：預備主的道，修直他的路！」
NIVThis is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one calling in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.' "
3:4和合本這約翰身穿駱駝毛的衣服，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲、野蜜。
NIVJohn's clothes were made of camel's hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
3:5和合本那時，耶路撒冷和猶太全地，並約但河一帶地方的人，都出去到約翰那裡，
NIVPeople went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan.
3:6和合本承認他們的罪，在約但河裡受他的洗。
NIVConfessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.
3:7和合本約翰看見許多法利賽人和撒都該人也來受洗，就對他們說：「毒蛇的種類！誰指示你們逃避將來的忿怒呢？
NIVBut when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
3:8和合本你們要結出果子來，與悔改的心相稱。
NIVProduce fruit in keeping with repentance.
3:9和合本不要自己心裡說：『有亞伯拉罕為我們的祖宗。』我告訴你們，神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。
NIVAnd do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
3:10和合本現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裡。
NIVThe ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
3:11和合本我是用水給你們施洗，叫你們悔改。但那在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是給他提鞋也不配。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。
NIV"I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with3:11Or in the Holy Spirit and fire.
3:12和合本他手裡拿著簸箕，要揚淨他的場，把麥子收在倉裡，把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」
NIVHis winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
3:13和合本當下耶穌從加利利來到約但河，見了約翰，要受他的洗。
NIVThen Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.
3:14和合本約翰想要攔住他，說：「我當受你的洗，你反倒上我這裡來嗎？」
NIVBut John tried to deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?"
3:15和合本耶穌回答說：「你暫且許我，因為我們理當這樣盡諸般的義（或作：禮）。」於是約翰許了他。
NIVJesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented.
3:16和合本耶穌受了洗，隨即從水裡上來。天忽然為他開了，他就看見神的靈彷彿鴿子降下，落在他身上。
NIVAs soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.
3:17和合本從天上有聲音說：「這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。」
NIVAnd a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

Matthew Chapter 4

4:1和合本當時，耶穌被聖靈引到曠野，受魔鬼的試探。
NIVThen Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
4:2和合本他禁食四十晝夜，後來就餓了。
NIVAfter fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
4:3和合本那試探人的進前來，對他說：「你若是神的兒子，可以吩咐這些石頭變成食物。」
NIVThe tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."
4:4和合本耶穌卻回答說：「經上記著說：人活著，不是單靠食物，乃是靠神口裡所出的一切話。」
NIVJesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "
4:5和合本魔鬼就帶他進了聖城，叫他站在殿頂（頂原文作翅）上，
NIVThen the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
4:6和合本對他說：「你若是神的兒子，可以跳下去，因為經上記著：主要為你吩咐他的使者用手托著你，免得你的腳碰在石頭上。」
NIV"If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' "
4:7和合本耶穌對他說：「經上又記著說：『不可試探主你的神。』」
NIVJesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
4:8和合本魔鬼又帶他上了一座最高的山，將世上的萬國與萬國的榮華都指給他看，
NIVAgain, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
4:9和合本對他說：「你若俯伏拜我，我就把這一切都賜給你。」
NIV"All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."
4:10和合本耶穌說：「撒但（撒但就是抵擋的意思，乃魔鬼的別名），退去吧！因為經上記著說：當拜主你的神，單要事奉他。」
NIVJesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.' "
4:11和合本於是，魔鬼離了耶穌，有天使來伺候他。
NIVThen the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
4:12和合本耶穌聽見約翰下了監，就退到加利利去；
NIVWhen Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee.
4:13和合本後又離開拿撒勒，往迦百農去，就住在那裡。那地方靠海，在西布倫和拿弗他利的邊界上。
NIVLeaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali-
4:14和合本這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話，
NIVto fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah:
4:15和合本說：西布倫地，拿弗他利地，就是沿海的路，約但河外，外邦人的加利利地，
NIV"Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles-
4:16和合本那坐在黑暗裡的百姓看見了大光；坐在死蔭之地的人有光發現照著他們。
NIVthe people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned."
4:17和合本從那時候，耶穌就傳起道來，說：「天國近了，你們應當悔改！」
NIVFrom that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."
4:18和合本耶穌在加利利海邊行走，看見弟兄二人，就是那稱呼彼得的西門和他兄弟安得烈，在海裡撒網；他們本是打魚的。
NIVAs Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
4:19和合本耶穌對他們說：「來跟從我，我要叫你們得人如得魚一樣。」
NIV"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people."
4:20和合本他們就立刻捨了網，跟從了他。
NIVAt once they left their nets and followed him.
4:21和合本從那裡往前走，又看見弟兄二人，就是西庇太的兒子雅各和他兄弟約翰，同他們的父親西庇太在船上補網，耶穌就招呼他們，
NIVGoing on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them,
4:22和合本他們立刻捨了船，別了父親，跟從了耶穌。
NIVand immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
4:23和合本耶穌走遍加利利，在各會堂裡教訓人，傳天國的福音，醫治百姓各樣的病症。
NIVJesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
4:24和合本他的名聲就傳遍了?利亞。那裡的人把一切害病的，就是害各樣疾病、各樣疼痛的和被鬼附的、癲癇的、癱瘓的，都帶了來，耶穌就治好了他們。
NIVNews about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.
4:25和合本當下，有許多人從加利利、低加波利、耶路撒冷、猶太、約但河外來跟著他。
NIVLarge crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him.

Matthew Chapter 5

5:1和合本耶穌看見這許多的人，就上了山，既已坐下，門徒到他跟前來，
NIVNow when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him,
5:2和合本他就開口教訓他們，說：
NIVand he began to teach them. He said:
5:3和合本虛心的人有福了！因為天國是他們的。
NIV"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:4和合本哀慟的人有福了！因為他們必得安慰。
NIVBlessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5:5和合本溫柔的人有福了！因為他們必承受地土。
NIVBlessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
5:6和合本飢渴慕義的人有福了！因為他們必得飽足。
NIVBlessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
5:7和合本憐恤人的人有福了！因為他們必蒙憐恤。
NIVBlessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
5:8和合本清心的人有福了！因為他們必得見神。
NIVBlessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
5:9和合本使人和睦的人有福了！因為他們必稱為神的兒子。
NIVBlessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
5:10和合本為義受逼迫的人有福了！因為天國是他們的。
NIVBlessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:11和合本「人若因我辱罵你們，逼迫你們，捏造各樣壞話毀謗你們，你們就有福了！
NIV"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
5:12和合本應當歡喜快樂，因為你們在天上的賞賜是大的。在你們以前的先知，人也是這樣逼迫他們。」
NIVRejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
5:13和合本「你們是世上的鹽。鹽若失了味，怎能叫他再鹹呢？以後無用，不過丟在外面，被人踐踏了。
NIV"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
5:14和合本你們是世上的光。城造在山上是不能隱藏的。
NIV"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
5:15和合本人點燈，不放在斗底下，是放在燈臺上，就照亮一家的人。
NIVNeither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
5:16和合本你們的光也當這樣照在人前，叫他們看見你們的好行為，便將榮耀歸給你們在天上的父。」
NIVIn the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
5:17和合本「莫想我來要廢掉律法和先知。我來不是要廢掉，乃是要成全。
NIV"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
5:18和合本我實在告訴你們，就是到天地都廢去了，律法的一點一畫也不能廢去，都要成全。
NIVFor truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
5:19和合本所以，無論何人廢掉這誡命中最小的一條，又教訓人這樣做，他在天國要稱為最小的。但無論何人遵行這誡命，又教訓人遵行，他在天國要稱為大的。
NIVTherefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
5:20和合本我告訴你們，你們的義若不勝於文士和法利賽人的義，斷不能進天國。」
NIVFor I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
5:21和合本「你們聽見有吩咐古人的話，說：『不可殺人』；又說：『凡殺人的難免受審判。』
NIV"You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'You shall not murder, ote style="f" caller="+"> 5:21 Exodus 20:13 and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.'
5:22和合本只是我告訴你們：凡（有古卷在凡字下加：無緣無故地）向弟兄動怒的，難免受審判；凡罵弟兄是拉加的，難免公會的審斷；凡罵弟兄是魔利的，難免地獄的火。
NIVBut I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister 5:22Some manuscripts brother or sister without cause will be subject to judgment. Matthew Chapter 6

NIV"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

NIVBut when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

NIV"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

NIVFor in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
7:3和合本為什麼看見你弟兄眼中有刺，卻不想自己眼中有梁木呢？
NIV"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
7:4和合本你自己眼中有梁木，怎能對你弟兄說：『容我去掉你眼中的刺』呢？
NIVHow can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
7:5和合本你這假冒為善的人！先去掉自己眼中的梁木，然後才能看得清楚，去掉你弟兄眼中的刺。
NIVYou hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

NIV"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

NIV"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

NIV"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

NIVBy their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

NIVJesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.

NIVThen Jesus said to him, "See that you don't tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

NIVThe men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"
8:28和合本耶穌既渡到那邊去，來到加大拉人的地方，就有兩個被鬼附的人從墳塋裡出來迎著他，極其兇猛，甚至沒有人能從那條路上經過。
NIVWhen he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way.
8:29和合本他們喊著說：「神的兒子，我們與你有什麼相干？時候還沒有到，你就上這裡來叫我們受苦嗎？」
NIV"What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?"
8:30和合本離他們很遠，有一大群豬吃食。
NIVSome distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding.
8:31和合本鬼就央求耶穌，說：「若把我們趕出去，就打發我們進入豬群吧！」
NIVThe demons begged Jesus, "If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs."
8:32和合本耶穌說：「去吧！」鬼就出來，進入豬群。全群忽然闖下山崖，投在海裡淹死了。
NIVHe said to them, "Go!" So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water.
8:33和合本放豬的就逃跑進城，將這一切事和被鬼附的人所遭遇的都告訴人。
NIVThose tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men.
8:34和合本合城的人都出來迎見耶穌，既見了就央求他離開他們的境界。
NIVThen the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.


Matthew Chapter 9

9:1和合本耶穌上了船，渡過海，來到自己的城裡。
NIVJesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town.
9:2和合本有人用褥子抬著一個癱子到耶穌跟前來。耶穌見他們的信心，就對癱子說：「小子，放心吧！你的罪赦了。」
NIVSome men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, "Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven."
9:3和合本有幾個文士心裡說：「這個人說僭妄的話了。」
NIVAt this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, "This fellow is blaspheming!"
9:4和合本耶穌知道他們的心意，就說：「你們為什麼心裡懷著惡念呢？
NIVKnowing their thoughts, Jesus said, "Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?
9:5和合本或說：『你的罪赦了』，或說：『你起來行走』，那一樣容易呢？
NIVWhich is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'?
9:6和合本但要叫你們知道，人子在地上有赦罪的權柄」；就對癱子說：「起來！拿你的褥子回家去吧。」
NIVBut I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man, "Get up, take your mat and go home."
9:7和合本那人就起來，回家去了。
NIVThen the man got up and went home.
9:8和合本眾人看見都驚奇，就歸榮耀與神，因為他將這樣的權柄賜給人。
NIVWhen the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.
9:9和合本耶穌從那裡往前走，看見一個人名叫馬太，坐在稅關上，就對他說：「你跟從我來。」他就起來跟從了耶穌。
NIVAs Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
9:10和合本耶穌在屋裡坐席的時候，有好些稅吏和罪人來，與耶穌和他的門徒一同坐席。
NIVWhile Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.
9:11和合本法利賽人看見，就對耶穌的門徒說：「你們的先生為什麼和稅吏並罪人一同吃飯呢？」
NIVWhen the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?"
9:12和合本耶穌聽見，就說：「康健的人用不著醫生，有病的人才用得著。
NIVOn hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
9:13和合本經上說：『我喜愛憐恤，不喜愛祭祀。』這句話的意思，你們且去揣摩。我來本不是召義人，乃是召罪人。」
NIVBut go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
9:14和合本那時，約翰的門徒來見耶穌，說：「我們和法利賽人常常禁食，你的門徒倒不禁食，這是為什麼呢？」
NIVThen John's disciples came and asked him, "How is it that we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?"
9:15和合本耶穌對他們說：「新郎和陪伴之人同在的時候，陪伴之人豈能哀慟呢？但日子將到，新郎要離開他們，那時候他們就要禁食。
NIVJesus answered, "How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.
9:16和合本沒有人把新布補在舊衣服上；因為所補上的反帶壞了那衣服，破的就更大了。
NIV"No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.
9:17和合本也沒有人把新酒裝在舊皮袋裡；若是這樣，皮袋就裂開，酒漏出來，連皮袋也壞了。惟獨把新酒裝在新皮袋裡，兩樣就都保全了。」
NIVNeither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."
9:18和合本耶穌說這話的時候，有一個管會堂的來拜他，說：「我女兒剛才死了，求你去按手在他身上，他就必活了。」
NIVWhile he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live."
9:19和合本耶穌便起來跟著他去；門徒也跟了去。
NIVJesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.
9:20和合本有一個女人，患了十二年的血漏，來到耶穌背後，摸他的衣裳繸子；
NIVJust then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.
9:21和合本因為他心裡說：「我只摸他的衣裳，就必痊愈。」
NIVShe said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."
9:22和合本耶穌轉過來，看見他，就說：「女兒，放心！你的信救了你。」從那時候，女人就痊愈了。
NIVJesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed at that moment.
9:23和合本耶穌到了管會堂的家裡，看見有吹手，又有許多人亂嚷，
NIVWhen Jesus entered the synagogue leader's house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes,
9:24和合本就說：「退去吧！這閨女不是死了，是睡著了。」他們就嗤笑他。
NIVhe said, "Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at him.
9:25和合本眾人既被攆出，耶穌就進去，拉著閨女的手，閨女便起來了。
NIVAfter the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.
9:26和合本於是這風聲傳遍了那地方。
NIVNews of this spread through all that region.
9:27和合本耶穌從那裡往前走，有兩個瞎子跟著他，喊叫說：「大衛的子孫，可憐我們吧！」
NIVAs Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!"
9:28和合本耶穌進了房子，瞎子就來到他跟前。耶穌說：「你們信我能做這事嗎？」他們說：「主啊，我們信。」
NIVWhen he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" "Yes, Lord," they replied.
9:29和合本耶穌就摸他們的眼睛，說：「照著你們的信給你們成全了吧。」
NIVThen he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith let it be done to you";
9:30和合本他們的眼睛就開了。耶穌切切的囑咐他們說：「你們要小心，不可叫人知道。」
NIVand their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, "See that no one knows about this."
9:31和合本他們出去，竟把他的名聲傳遍了那地方。
NIVBut they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.
9:32和合本他們出去的時候，有人將鬼所附的一個啞巴帶到耶穌跟前來。
NIVWhile they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus.
9:33和合本鬼被趕出去，啞巴就說出話來。眾人都希奇，說：「在以色列中，從來沒有見過這樣的事。」
NIVAnd when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel."
9:34和合本法利賽人卻說：「他是靠著鬼王趕鬼。」
NIVBut the Pharisees said, "It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons."
9:35和合本耶穌走遍各城各鄉，在會堂裡教訓人，宣講天國的福音，又醫治各樣的病症。
NIVJesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
9:36和合本他看見許多的人，就憐憫他們；因為他們困苦流離，如同羊沒有牧人一般。
NIVWhen he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
9:37和合本於是對門徒說：「要收的莊稼多，做工的人少。
NIVThen he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
9:38和合本所以，你們當求莊稼的主打發工人出去收他的莊稼。」
NIVAsk the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

Matthew Chapter 10

NIVJesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
10:2和合本這十二使徒的名：頭一個叫西門（又稱彼得），還有他兄弟安得烈，西庇太的兒子雅各和雅各的兄弟約翰，
NIVThese are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John;

NIVPhilip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;

NIVAs you go, proclaim this message: 'The kingdom of heaven has come near.'

NIVHeal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

NIV"Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts-
10:10和合本行路不要帶口袋；不要帶兩件褂子，也不要帶鞋和柺杖；因為工人得飲食是應當的。
NIVno bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep.
10:11和合本你們無論進哪一城，哪一村，要打聽那裡誰是好人，就住在他家，直住到走的時候。
NIVWhatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave.
10:12和合本進他家裡去，要請他的安。
NIVAs you enter the home, give it your greeting.
10:13和合本那家若配得平安，你們所求的平安就必臨到那家；若不配得，你們所求的平安仍歸你們。
NIVIf the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.
10:14和合本凡不接待你們、不聽你們話的人，你們離開那家，或是那城的時候，就把腳上的塵土跺下去。
NIVIf anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.
10:15和合本我實在告訴你們，當審判的日子，所多瑪和蛾摩拉所受的，比那城還容易受呢！」
NIVTruly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
10:16和合本「我差你們去，如同羊進入狼群；所以你們要靈巧像蛇，馴良像鴿子。
NIV"I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
10:17和合本你們要防備人；因為他們要把你們交給公會，也要在會堂裡鞭打你們，
NIVBe on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues.
10:18和合本並且你們要為我的緣故被送到諸侯君王面前，對他們和外邦人作見證。
NIVOn my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.
10:19和合本你們被交的時候，不要思慮怎樣說話，或說什麼話。到那時候，必賜給你們當說的話；
NIVBut when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say,
10:20和合本因為不是你們自己說的，乃是你們父的靈在你們裡頭說的。
NIVfor it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
10:21和合本弟兄要把弟兄，父親要把兒子，送到死地；兒女要與父母為敵，害死他們；
NIV"Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.
10:22和合本並且你們要為我的名被眾人恨惡。惟有忍耐到底的必然得救。
NIVYou will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
10:23和合本有人在這城裡逼迫你們，就逃到那城裡去。我實在告訴你們，以色列的城邑，你們還沒有走遍，人子就到了。
NIVWhen you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
10:24和合本學生不能高過先生；僕人不能高過主人。
NIV"The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master.
10:25和合本學生和先生一樣，僕人和主人一樣，也就罷了。人既罵家主是別西卜（別西卜：是鬼王的名），何況他的家人呢？」
NIVIt is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!
10:26和合本「所以，不要怕他們；因為掩蓋的事沒有不露出來的，隱藏的事沒有不被人知道的。
NIV"So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.
10:27和合本我在暗中告訴你們的，你們要在明處說出來；你們耳中所聽的，要在房上宣揚出來。
NIVWhat I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.
10:28和合本那殺身體，不能殺靈魂的，不要怕他們；惟有能把身體和靈魂都滅在地獄裡的，正要怕他。
NIVDo not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
10:29和合本兩個麻雀不是賣一分銀子嗎？若是你們的父不許，一個也不能掉在地上；
NIVAre not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care.
10:30和合本就是你們的頭髮也都被數過了。
NIVAnd even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
10:31和合本所以，不要懼怕，你們比許多麻雀還貴重！」
NIVSo don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
10:32和合本「凡在人面前認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必認他；
NIV"Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.

NIVBut whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.

NIV"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

NIV"Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.

NIVWhoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward.

NIVAnd if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward."

Matthew Chapter 11

11:1和合本耶穌吩咐完了十二個門徒，就離開那裡，往各城去傳道，教訓人。
NIVAfter Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee.
11:2和合本約翰在監裡聽見基督所做的事，就打發兩個門徒去，
NIVWhen John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples
11:3和合本問他說：「那將要來的是你嗎？還是我們等候別人呢？」
NIVto ask him, "Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?"
11:4和合本耶穌回答說：「你們去，把所聽見，所看見的事告訴約翰。
NIVJesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see:
11:5和合本就是瞎子看見，瘸子行走，長大痲瘋的潔淨，聾子聽見，死人復活，窮人有福音傳給他們。
NIVThe blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.

NIVBlessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me."

NIVIf not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings' palaces.

NIVThen what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.

NIVTruly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

NIVFrom the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.

NIVFor John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.'
11:19和合本人子來了，也吃也喝，人又說他是貪食好酒的人，是稅吏和罪人的朋友。但智慧之子總以智慧為是（有古卷：但智慧在行為上就顯為是）。」
NIVThe Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her deeds."
11:20和合本耶穌在諸城中行了許多異能，那些城的人終不悔改，就在那時候責備他們，說：
NIVThen Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.

NIV"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

NIVBut I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.

NIVAnd you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades. For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.

NIVBut I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you."

NIVAt that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

NIV"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

NIV"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
11:29和合本我心裡柔和謙卑，你們當負我的軛，學我的樣式；這樣，你們心裡就必得享安息。
NIVTake my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

NIVAt that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them.
12:2和合本法利賽人看見，就對耶穌說：「看哪，你的門徒做安息日不可做的事了！」
NIVWhen the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, "Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath."
12:3和合本耶穌對他們說：「經上記著大衛和跟從他的人飢餓之時所做的事，你們沒有念過嗎？
NIVHe answered, "Haven't you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
12:4和合本他怎麼進了神的殿，吃了陳設餅，這餅不是他和跟從他的人可以吃得，惟獨祭司才可以吃。
NIVHe entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread-which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests.
12:5和合本再者，律法上所記的，當安息日，祭司在殿裡犯了安息日還是沒有罪，你們沒有念過嗎？
NIVOr haven't you read in the Law that the priests on Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are innocent?
12:6和合本但我告訴你們，在這裡有一人比殿更大。
NIVI tell you that something greater than the temple is here.
12:7和合本『我喜愛憐恤，不喜愛祭祀。』你們若明白這話的意思，就不將無罪的當作有罪的了。
NIVIf you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent.
12:8和合本因為人子是安息日的主。」
NIVFor the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
12:9和合本耶穌離開那地方，進了一個會堂。
NIVGoing on from that place, he went into their synagogue,
12:10和合本那裡有一個人枯乾了一隻手。有人問耶穌說：「安息日治病可以不可以？」意思是要控告他。
NIVand a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"
12:11和合本耶穌說：「你們中間誰有一隻羊，當安息日掉在坑裡，不把他抓住，拉上來呢？
NIVHe said to them, "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out?
12:12和合本人比羊何等貴重呢！所以，在安息日做善事是可以的。」
NIVHow much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."
12:13和合本於是對那人說：「伸出手來！」他把手一伸，手就復了原，和那隻手一樣。
NIVThen he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.
12:14和合本法利賽人出去，商議怎樣可以除滅耶穌。
NIVBut the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
12:15和合本耶穌知道了，就離開那裡，有許多人跟著他。他把其中有病的人都治好了；
NIVAware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. A large crowd followed him, and he healed all who were ill.
12:16和合本又囑咐他們，不要給他傳名。
NIVHe warned them not to tell others about him.
12:17和合本這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話，說：
NIVThis was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
12:18和合本看哪！我的僕人，我所揀選，所親愛，心裡所喜悅的，我要將我的靈賜給他；他必將公理傳給外邦。
NIV"Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.
12:19和合本他不爭競，不喧嚷；街上也沒有人聽見他的聲音。
NIVHe will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets.
12:20和合本壓傷的蘆葦，他不折斷；將殘的燈火，他不吹滅；等他施行公理，叫公理得勝。
NIVA bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory.
12:21和合本外邦人都要仰望他的名。
NIVIn his name the nations will put their hope."
12:22和合本當下，有人將一個被鬼附著、又瞎又啞的人帶到耶穌那裡，耶穌就醫治他，甚至那啞巴又能說話，又能看見。
NIVThen they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.
12:23和合本眾人都驚奇，說：「這不是大衛的子孫嗎？」
NIVAll the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"
12:24和合本但法利賽人聽見，就說：「這個人趕鬼，無非是靠著鬼王別西卜啊。」
NIVBut when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons."
12:25和合本耶穌知道他們的意念，就對他們說：「凡一國自相分爭，就成為荒場；一城一家自相分爭，必站立不住；
NIVJesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
12:26和合本若撒但趕逐撒但，就是自相分爭，他的國怎能站得住呢？
NIVIf Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
12:27和合本我若靠著別西卜趕鬼，你們的子弟趕鬼又靠著誰呢？這樣，他們就要斷定你們的是非。
NIVAnd if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
12:28和合本我若靠著神的靈趕鬼，這就是神的國臨到你們了。
NIVBut if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
12:29和合本人怎能進壯士家裡，搶奪他的家具呢？除非先捆住那壯士，才可以搶奪他的家財。
NIV"Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
12:30和合本不與我相合的，就是敵我的；不同我收聚的，就是分散的。」
NIV"Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
12:31和合本所以我告訴你們：「人一切的罪和褻瀆的話都可得赦免，惟獨褻瀆聖靈，總不得赦免。
NIVAnd so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
12:32和合本凡說話干犯人子的，還可得赦免；惟獨說話干犯聖靈的，今世來世總不得赦免。」
NIVAnyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
12:33和合本「你們或以為樹好，果子也好；樹壞，果子也壞；因為看果子就可以知道樹。
NIV"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.
12:34和合本毒蛇的種類！你們既是惡人，怎能說出好話來呢？因為心裡所充滿的，口裡就說出來。
NIVYou brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
12:35和合本善人從他心裡所存的善就發出善來；惡人從他心裡所存的惡就發出惡來。
NIVA good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.
12:36和合本我又告訴你們，凡人所說的閒話，當審判的日子，必要句句供出來；
NIVBut I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
12:37和合本因為要憑你的話定你為義，也要憑你的話定你有罪。」
NIVFor by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
12:38和合本當時，有幾個文士和法利賽人對耶穌說：「夫子，我們願意你顯個神蹟給我們看。」
NIVThen some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, "Teacher, we want to see a sign from you."
12:39和合本耶穌回答說：「一個邪惡淫亂的世代求看神蹟，除了先知約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他們看。
NIVHe answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
12:40和合本約拿三日三夜在大魚肚腹中，人子也要這樣三日三夜在地裡頭。
NIVFor as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
12:41和合本當審判的時候，尼尼微人要起來定這世代的罪，因為尼尼微人聽了約拿所傳的就悔改了。看哪，在這裡有一人比約拿更大！
NIVThe men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here.
12:42和合本當審判的時候，南方的女王要起來定這世代的罪，因為他從地極而來，要聽所羅門的智慧話。看哪！在這裡有一人比所羅門更大。」
NIVThe Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.
12:43和合本「污鬼離了人身，就在無水之地過來過去，尋求安歇之處，卻尋不著。
NIV"When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
12:44和合本於是說：『我要回到我所出來的屋裡去。』到了，就看見裡面空閒，打掃乾淨，修飾好了，
NIVThen it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order.
12:45和合本便去另帶了七個比自己更惡的鬼來，都進去住在那裡。那人末後的景況比先前更不好了。這邪惡的世代也要如此。」
NIVThen it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."
12:46和合本耶穌還對眾人說話的時候，不料他母親和他弟兄站在外邊，要與他說話。
NIVWhile Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him.
12:47和合本有人告訴他說：「看哪，你母親和你弟兄站在外邊，要與你說話。」
NIVSomeone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you."
12:48和合本他卻回答那人說：「誰是我的母親？誰是我的弟兄？」
NIVHe replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?"
12:49和合本就伸手指著門徒，說：「看哪，我的母親，我的弟兄。
NIVPointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers.
12:50和合本凡遵行我天父旨意的人，就是我的弟兄姐妹和母親了。」
NIVFor whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

Matthew Chapter 13

13:1和合本當那一天，耶穌從房子裡出來，坐在海邊。
NIVThat same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake.
13:2和合本有許多人到他那裡聚集，他只得上船坐下，眾人都站在岸上。
NIVSuch large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore.
13:3和合本他用比喻對他們講許多道理，說：「有一個撒種的出去撒種；
NIVThen he told them many things in parables, saying: "A farmer went out to sow his seed.
13:4和合本撒的時候，有落在路旁的，飛鳥來吃盡了；
NIVAs he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.
13:5和合本有落在土淺石頭地上的，土既不深，發苗最快，
NIVSome fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow.
13:6和合本日頭出來一曬，因為沒有根，就枯乾了；
NIVBut when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
13:7和合本有落在荊棘裡的，荊棘長起來，把他擠住了；
NIVOther seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.
13:8和合本又有落在好土裡的，就結實，有一百倍的，有六十倍的，有三十倍的。
NIVStill other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
13:9和合本有耳可聽的，就應當聽！」
NIVWhoever has ears, let them hear."
13:10和合本門徒進前來，問耶穌說：「對眾人講話，為什麼用比喻呢？」
NIVThe disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?"
13:11和合本耶穌回答說：「因為天國的奧秘只叫你們知道，不叫他們知道。
NIVHe replied, "Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
13:12和合本凡有的，還要加給他，叫他有餘；凡沒有的，連他所有的，也要奪去。
NIVWhoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
13:13和合本所以我用比喻對他們講，是因他們看也看不見，聽也聽不見，也不明白。
NIVThis is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
13:14和合本在他們身上，正應了以賽亞的預言，說：你們聽是要聽見，卻不明白；看是要看見，卻不曉得；
NIVIn them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: " 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
13:15和合本因為這百姓油蒙了心，耳朵發沉，眼睛閉著，恐怕眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，我就醫治他們。
NIVFor this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. 13:16和合本「但你們的眼睛是有福的，因為看見了；你們的耳朵也是有福的，因為聽見了。
NIVBut blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
13:17和合本我實在告訴你們，從前有許多先知和義人要看你們所看的，卻沒有看見，要聽你們所聽的，卻沒有聽見。」
NIVFor truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
13:18和合本「所以，你們當聽這撒種的比喻。
NIV"Listen then to what the parable of the sower means:
13:19和合本凡聽見天國道理不明白的，那惡者就來，把所撒在他心裡的奪了去；這就是撒在路旁的了。
NIVWhen anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.
13:20和合本撒在石頭地上的，就是人聽了道，當下歡喜領受，
NIVThe seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.
13:21和合本只因心裡沒有根，不過是暫時的，及至為道遭了患難，或是受了逼迫，立刻就跌倒了。
NIVBut since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
13:22和合本撒在荊棘裡的，就是人聽了道，後來有世上的思慮、錢財的迷惑把道擠住了，不能結實。
NIVThe seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.
13:23和合本撒在好地上的，就是人聽道明白了，後來結實，有一百倍的，有六十倍的，有三十倍的。」
NIVBut the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."
13:24和合本耶穌又設個比喻對他們說：「天國好像人撒好種在田裡，
NIVJesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
13:25和合本及至人睡覺的時候，有仇敵來，將稗子撒在麥子裡就走了。
NIVBut while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.
13:26和合本到長苗吐穗的時候，稗子也顯出來。
NIVWhen the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
13:27和合本田主的僕人來告訴他說：『主啊，你不是撒好種在田裡嗎？從那裡來的稗子呢？』
NIV"The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'
13:28和合本主人說：『這是仇敵做的。』僕人說：『你要我們去薅出來嗎？』
NIV" 'An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'
13:29和合本主人說：『不必，恐怕薅稗子，連麥子也拔出來。
NIV" 'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them.
13:30和合本容這兩樣一齊長，等著收割。當收割的時候，我要對收割的人說，先將稗子薅出來，捆成捆，留著燒；惟有麥子要收在倉裡。』」
NIVLet both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.' "
13:31和合本他又設個比喻對他們說：「天國好像一粒芥菜種，有人拿去種在田裡。
NIVHe told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field.
13:32和合本這原是百種裡最小的，等到長起來，卻比各樣的菜都大，且成了樹，天上的飛鳥來宿在他的枝上。」
NIVThough it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches."
13:33和合本他又對他們講個比喻說：「天國好像麵酵，有婦人拿來，藏在三斗麵裡，直等全團都發起來。」
NIVHe told them still another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough."
13:34和合本這都是耶穌用比喻對眾人說的話；若不用比喻，就不對他們說什麼。
NIVJesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.
13:35和合本這是要應驗先知的話，說：我要開口用比喻，把創世以來所隱藏的事發明出來。
NIVSo was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world."
13:36和合本當下，耶穌離開眾人，進了房子。他的門徒進前來，說：「請把田間稗子的比喻講給我們聽。」
NIVThen he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field."
13:37和合本他回答說：「那撒好種的就是人子；
NIVHe answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.
13:38和合本田地就是世界；好種就是天國之子；稗子就是那惡者之子；
NIVThe field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one,
13:39和合本撒稗子的仇敵就是魔鬼；收割的時候就是世界的末了；收割的人就是天使。
NIVand the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
13:40和合本將稗子薅出來用火焚燒，世界的末了也要如此。
NIV"As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.
13:41和合本人子要差遣使者，把一切叫人跌倒的和作惡的，從他國裡挑出來，
NIVThe Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.
13:42和合本丟在火爐裡；在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。
NIVThey will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13:43和合本那時，義人在他們父的國裡，要發出光來，像太陽一樣。有耳可聽的，就應當聽！」
NIVThen the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.
13:44和合本「天國好像寶貝藏在地裡，人遇見了就把他藏起來，歡歡喜喜的去變賣一切所有的，買這塊地。
NIV"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
13:45和合本天國又好像買賣人尋找好珠子，
NIV"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.
13:46和合本遇見一顆重價的珠子，就去變賣他一切所有的，買了這顆珠子。
NIVWhen he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
13:47和合本天國又好像網撒在海裡，聚攏各樣水族，
NIV"Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.
13:48和合本網既滿了，人就拉上岸來，坐下，揀好的收在器具裡，將不好的丟棄了。
NIVWhen it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.
13:49和合本世界的末了也要這樣。天使要出來，從義人中把惡人分別出來，
NIVThis is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous
13:50和合本丟在火爐裡；在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。」
NIVand throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13:51和合本耶穌說：「這一切的話你們都明白了嗎？」他們說：「我們明白了。」
NIV"Have you understood all these things?" Jesus asked. "Yes," they replied.
13:52和合本他說：「凡文士受教作天國的門徒，就像一個家主從他庫裡拿出新舊的東西來。」
NIVHe said to them, "Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old."
13:53和合本耶穌說完了這些比喻，就離開那裡，
NIVWhen Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there.
13:54和合本來到自己的家鄉，在會堂裡教訓人，甚至他們都希奇，說：「這人從那裡有這等智慧和異能呢？
NIVComing to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. "Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?" they asked.
13:55和合本這不是木匠的兒子嗎？他母親不是叫馬利亞嗎？他弟兄們不是叫雅各、約西（有古卷：約瑟）、西門、猶大嗎？
NIV"Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?
13:56和合本他妹妹們不是都在我們這裡嗎？這人從那裡有這一切的事呢？」
NIVAren't all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?"
13:57和合本他們就厭棄他（厭棄他：原文作因他跌倒）。耶穌對他們說：「大凡先知，除了本地本家之外，沒有不被人尊敬的。」
NIVAnd they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home."
13:58和合本耶穌因為他們不信，就在那裡不多行異能了。
NIVAnd he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.

Matthew Chapter 14

14:1和合本那時，分封的王希律聽見耶穌的名聲，
NIVAt that time Herod the tetrarch heard the reports about Jesus,
14:2和合本就對臣僕說：「這是施洗的約翰從死裡復活，所以這些異能從他裡面發出來。」
NIVand he said to his attendants, "This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him."
14:3和合本起先，希律為他兄弟腓力的妻子希羅底的緣故，把約翰拿住，鎖在監裡。
NIVNow Herod had arrested John and bound him and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife,
14:4和合本因為約翰曾對他說：「你娶這婦人是不合理的。」
NIVfor John had been saying to him: "It is not lawful for you to have her."
14:5和合本希律就想要殺他，只是怕百姓，因為他們以約翰為先知。
NIVHerod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of the people, because they considered John a prophet.
14:6和合本到了希律的生日，希羅底的女兒在眾人面前跳舞，使希律歡喜。
NIVOn Herod's birthday the daughter of Herodias danced for the guests and pleased Herod so much
14:7和合本希律就起誓，應許隨他所求的給他。
NIVthat he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked.
14:8和合本女兒被母親所使，就說：「請把施洗約翰的頭放在盤子裡，拿來給我。」
NIVPrompted by her mother, she said, "Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist."
14:9和合本王便憂愁，但因他所起的誓，又因同席的人，就吩咐給他；
NIVThe king was distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he ordered that her request be granted
14:10和合本於是打發人去，在監裡斬了約翰，
NIVand had John beheaded in the prison.
14:11和合本把頭放在盤子裡，拿來給了女子；女子拿去給他母親。
NIVHis head was brought in on a platter and given to the girl, who carried it to her mother.
14:12和合本約翰的門徒來，把屍首領去埋葬了，就去告訴耶穌。
NIVJohn's disciples came and took his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus.
14:13和合本耶穌聽見了，就上船從那裡獨自退到野地裡去。眾人聽見，就從各城裡步行跟隨他。
NIVWhen Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns.
14:14和合本耶穌出來，見有許多的人，就憐憫他們，治好了他們的病人。
NIVWhen Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
14:15和合本天將晚的時候，門徒進前來，說：「這是野地，時候已經過了，請叫眾人散開，他們好往村子裡去，自己買吃的。」
NIVAs evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, "This is a remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food."
14:16和合本耶穌說：「不用他們去，你們給他們吃吧！」
NIVJesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat."
14:17和合本門徒說：「我們這裡只有五個餅，兩條魚。」
NIV"We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered.
14:18和合本耶穌說：「拿過來給我。」
NIV"Bring them here to me," he said.
14:19和合本於是吩咐眾人坐在草地上，就拿著這五個餅，兩條魚，望著天祝福，擘開餅，遞給門徒，門徒又遞給眾人。
NIVAnd he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
14:20和合本他們都吃，並且吃飽了；把剩下的零碎收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。
NIVThey all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
14:21和合本吃的人，除了婦女孩子，約有五千。
NIVThe number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
14:22和合本耶穌隨即催門徒上船，先渡到那邊去，等他叫眾人散開。
NIVImmediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.
14:23和合本散了眾人以後，他就獨自上山去禱告。到了晚上，只有他一人在那裡。
NIVAfter he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone,
14:24和合本那時船在海中，因風不順，被浪搖撼。
NIVand the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
14:25和合本夜裡四更天，耶穌在海面上走，往門徒那裡去。
NIVShortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
14:26和合本門徒看見他在海面上走，就驚慌了，說：「是個鬼怪！」便害怕，喊叫起來。
NIVWhen the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
14:27和合本耶穌連忙對他們說：「你們放心！是我，不要怕！」
NIVBut Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
14:28和合本彼得說：「主，如果是你，請叫我從水面上走到你那裡去。」
NIV"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
14:29和合本耶穌說：「你來吧。」彼得就從船上下去，在水面上走，要到耶穌那裡去；
NIV"Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
14:30和合本只因見風甚大，就害怕，將要沉下去，便喊著說：「主啊，救我！」
NIVBut when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
14:31和合本耶穌趕緊伸手拉住他，說：「你這小信的人哪，為什麼疑惑呢？」
NIVImmediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
14:32和合本他們上了船，風就住了。
NIVAnd when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
14:33和合本在船上的人都拜他，說：「你真是神的兒子了。」
NIVThen those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."
14:34和合本他們過了海，來到革尼撒勒地方。
NIVWhen they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret.
14:35和合本那裡的人一認出是耶穌，就打發人到周圍地方去，把所有的病人帶到他那裡，
NIVAnd when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him

NIVand begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.

Matthew Chapter 15

NIVThen some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
15:2和合本「你的門徒為什麼犯古人的遺傳呢？因為吃飯的時候，他們不洗手。」
NIV"Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!"
15:3和合本耶穌回答說：「你們為什麼因著你們的遺傳犯神的誡命呢？
NIVJesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
15:4和合本神說：『當孝敬父母』；又說：『咒罵父母的，必治死他。』
NIVFor God said, 'Honor your father and mother' and 'Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.'
15:5和合本你們倒說：『無論何人對父母說：我所當奉給你的已經作了供獻，
NIVBut you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is 'devoted to God,'
15:6和合本他就可以不孝敬父母。』這就是你們藉著遺傳，廢了神的誡命。
NIVthey are not to 'honor their father or mother' with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
15:7和合本假冒為善的人哪，以賽亞指著你們說的預言是不錯的。他說：
NIVYou hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:

NIV" 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

NIVWhat goes into someone's mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them."

NIVThen the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?"

NIVHe replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.

NIVLeave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit."

NIVPeter said, "Explain the parable to us."
15:16和合本耶穌說：「你們到如今還不明白嗎？
NIV"Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them.
15:17和合本豈不知凡入口的，是運到肚子裡，又落在茅廁裡嗎？
NIV"Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?
15:18和合本惟獨出口的，是從心裡發出來的，這才污穢人。
NIVBut the things that come out of a person's mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.
15:19和合本因為從心裡發出來的，有惡念、兇殺、姦淫、苟合、偷盜、妄證、謗讟。
NIVFor out of the heart come evil thoughts-murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
15:20和合本這都是污穢人的；至於不洗手吃飯，那卻不污穢人。」
NIVThese are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them."
15:21和合本耶穌離開那裡，退到推羅、西頓的境內去。
NIVLeaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon.

NIVA Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly."
15:23和合本耶穌卻一言不答。門徒進前來，求他說：「這婦人在我們後頭喊叫，請打發他走吧。」
NIVJesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."
15:24和合本耶穌說：「我奉差遣不過是到以色列家迷失的羊那裡去。」
NIVHe answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."
15:25和合本那婦人來拜他，說：「主啊，幫助我！」
NIVThe woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.

NIVHe replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the dogs."
15:27和合本婦人說：「主啊，不錯；但是狗也吃他主人桌子上掉下來的碎渣兒。」
NIV"Yes it is, Lord," she said. "Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table."
15:28和合本耶穌說：「婦人，你的信心是大的！照你所要的，給你成全了吧。」從那時候，他女兒就好了。
NIVThen Jesus said to her, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed at that moment.
15:29和合本耶穌離開那地方，來到靠近加利利的海邊，就上山坐下。
NIVJesus left there and went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up on a mountainside and sat down.
15:30和合本有許多人到他那裡，帶著瘸子、瞎子、啞巴、有殘疾的，和好些別的病人，都放在他腳前；他就治好了他們。
NIVGreat crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them.
15:31和合本甚至眾人都希奇；因為看見啞巴說話，殘疾的痊愈，瘸子行走，瞎子看見，他們就歸榮耀給以色列的神。
NIVThe people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.
15:32和合本耶穌叫門徒來，說：「我憐憫這眾人，因為他們同我在這裡已經三天，也沒有吃的了。我不願意叫他們餓著回去，恐怕在路上困乏。」
NIVJesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way."
15:33和合本門徒說：「我們在這野地，那裡有這麼多的餅叫這許多人吃飽呢？」
NIVHis disciples answered, "Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?"

NIV"How many loaves do you have?" Jesus asked. "Seven," they replied, "and a few small fish."

NIVHe told the crowd to sit down on the ground.

NIVThen he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people.

NIVThey all ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

Matthew Chapter 16

16:1和合本法利賽人和撒都該人來試探耶穌，請他從天上顯個神蹟給他們看。
NIVThe Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
16:2和合本耶穌回答說：「晚上天發紅，你們就說：『天必要晴。』
NIVHe replied, "When evening comes, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,'
16:3和合本早晨天發紅，又發黑，你們就說：『今日必有風雨。」你們知道分辨天上的氣色，倒不能分辨這時候的神蹟。
NIVand in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.
16:4和合本一個邪惡淫亂的世代求神蹟，除了約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他看。」耶穌就離開他們去了。
NIVA wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went away.
16:5和合本門徒渡到那邊去，忘了帶餅。
NIVWhen they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread.
16:6和合本耶穌對他們說：「你們要謹慎，防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵。」
NIV"Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."
16:7和合本門徒彼此議論說：「這是因為我們沒有帶餅吧。」
NIVThey discussed this among themselves and said, "It is because we didn't bring any bread."
16:8和合本耶穌看出來，就說：「你們這小信的人，為什麼因為沒有餅彼此議論呢？
NIVAware of their discussion, Jesus asked, "You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread?
16:9和合本你們還不明白嗎？不記得那五個餅分給五千人、又收拾了多少籃子的零碎嗎？
NIVDo you still not understand? Don't you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?
16:10和合本也不記得那七個餅分給四千人、又收拾了多少筐子的零碎嗎？
NIVOr the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?
16:11和合本我對你們說：『要防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵』，這話不是指著餅說的，你們怎麼不明白呢？」
NIVHow is it you don't understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."
16:12和合本門徒這才曉得他說的不是叫他們防備餅的酵，乃是防備法利賽人和撒都該人的教訓。
NIVThen they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
16:13和合本耶穌到了該撒利亞腓立比的境內，就問門徒說：「人說我（有古卷沒有我字），人子是誰？」
NIVWhen Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
16:14和合本他們說：「有人說是施洗的約翰；有人說是以利亞；又有人說是耶利米或是先知裡的一位。」
NIVThey replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
16:15和合本耶穌說：「你們說我是誰？」
NIV"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
16:16和合本西門彼得回答說：「你是基督，是永生神的兒子。」
NIVSimon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
16:17和合本耶穌對他說：「西門巴約拿，你是有福的！因為這不是屬血肉的指示你的，乃是我在天上的父指示的。
NIVJesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

NIVAnd I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

NIVI will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will bebound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

NIVThen he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.
16:21和合本從此，耶穌才指示門徒，他必須上耶路撒冷去，受長老、祭司長、文士許多的苦，並且被殺，第三日復活。
NIVFrom that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
16:22和合本彼得就拉著他，勸他說：「主啊，萬不可如此！這事必不臨到你身上。」
NIVPeter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never happen to you!"
16:23和合本耶穌轉過來，對彼得說：「撒但，退我後邊去吧！你是絆我腳的；因為你不體貼神的意思，只體貼人的意思。」
NIVJesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."
16:24和合本於是耶穌對門徒說：「若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，背起他的十字架來跟從我。
NIVThen Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
16:25和合本因為，凡要救自己生命（生命：譯靈魂；下同）的，必喪掉生命；凡為我喪掉生命的，必得著生命。
NIVFor whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.
16:26和合本人若賺得全世界，賠上自己的生命，有什麼益處呢？人還能拿什麼換生命呢？
NIVWhat good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
16:27和合本人子要在他父的榮耀裡同著眾使者降臨；那時候，他要照各人的行為報應各人。
NIVFor the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.
16:28和合本我實在告訴你們，站在這裡的，有人在沒嘗死味以前必看見人子降臨在他的國裡。」
NIV"Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

Matthew Chapter 17

17:1和合本過了六天，耶穌帶著彼得、雅各，和雅各的兄弟約翰，暗暗的上了高山，
NIVAfter six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
17:2和合本就在他們面前變了形像，臉面明亮如日頭，衣裳潔白如光。
NIVThere he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.
17:3和合本忽然，有摩西、以利亞向他們顯現，同耶穌說話。
NIVJust then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.
17:4和合本彼得對耶穌說：「主啊，我們在這裡真好！你若願意，我就在這裡搭三座棚，一座為你，一座為摩西，一座為以利亞。」
NIVPeter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters-one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."
17:5和合本說話之間，忽然有一朵光明的雲彩遮蓋他們，且有聲音從雲彩裡出來，說：「這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。你們要聽他！」
NIVWhile he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"
17:6和合本門徒聽見，就俯伏在地，極其害怕。
NIVWhen the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified.
17:7和合本耶穌進前來，摸他們，說：「起來，不要害怕！」
NIVBut Jesus came and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid."
17:8和合本他們舉目不見一人，只見耶穌在那裡。
NIVWhen they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.
17:9和合本下山的時候，耶穌吩咐他們說：「人子還沒有從死裡復活，你們不要將所看見的告訴人。」
NIVAs they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead."
17:10和合本門徒問耶穌說：「文士為什麼說以利亞必須先來？」
NIVThe disciples asked him, "Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?"
17:11和合本耶穌回答說：「以利亞固然先來，並要復興萬事；
NIVJesus replied, "To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things.
17:12和合本只是我告訴你們，以利亞已經來了，人卻不認識他，竟任意待他。人子也將要這樣受他們的害。」
NIVBut I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands."
17:13和合本門徒這才明白耶穌所說的是指著施洗的約翰。
NIVThen the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.
17:14和合本耶穌和門徒到了眾人那裡，有一個人來見耶穌，跪下，
NIVWhen they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him.
17:15和合本說：「主啊，憐憫我的兒子。他害癲癇的病很苦，屢次跌在火裡，屢次跌在水裡。
NIV"Lord, have mercy on my son," he said. "He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water.
17:16和合本我帶他到你門徒那裡，他們卻不能醫治他。」
NIVI brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him."
17:17和合本耶穌說：「噯！這又不信又悖謬的世代啊，我在你們這裡要到幾時呢？我忍耐你們要到幾時呢？把他帶到我這裡來吧！」
NIV"You unbelieving and perverse generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me."
17:18和合本耶穌斥責那鬼，鬼就出來；從此孩子就痊愈了。
NIVJesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment.
17:19和合本門徒暗暗的到耶穌跟前，說：「我們為什麼不能趕出那鬼呢？」
NIVThen the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, "Why couldn't we drive it out?"
17:20和合本耶穌說：「是因你們的信心小。我實在告訴你們，你們若有信心，像一粒芥菜種，就是對這座山說：『你從這邊挪到那邊。』他也必挪去；並且你們沒有一件不能做的事了。
NIVHe replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. "
17:21和合本至於這一類的鬼，若不禱告、禁食，他就不出來（或作：不能趕他出來）。」
NIVJesus Predicts His Death a Second Time
17:22和合本他們還住在加利利的時候，耶穌對門徒說：「人子將要被交在人手裡。
NIVWhen they came together in Galilee, he said to them, "The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men.
17:23和合本他們要殺害他，第三日他要復活。」門徒就大大的憂愁。
NIVThey will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life." And the disciples were filled with grief.
17:24和合本到了迦百農，有收丁稅的人來見彼得，說：「你們的先生不納丁稅（丁稅約有半塊錢）嗎？」
NIVAfter Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, "Doesn't your teacher pay the temple tax?"
17:25和合本彼得說：「納。」他進了屋子，耶穌先向他說：「西門，你的意思如何？世上的君王向誰徵收關稅、丁稅？是向自己的兒子呢？是向外人呢？」
NIV"Yes, he does," he replied. When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. "What do you think, Simon?" he asked. "From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes-from their own children or from others?"
17:26和合本彼得說：「是向外人。」耶穌說：「既然如此，兒子就可以免稅了。
NIV"From others," Peter answered. "Then the children are exempt," Jesus said to him.
17:27和合本但恐怕觸犯（觸犯：原文作絆倒）他們，你且往海邊去釣魚，把先釣上來的魚拿起來，開了他的口，必得一塊錢，可以拿去給他們，作你我的稅銀。」
NIV"But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours."

Matthew Chapter 18

NIVAt that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

NIVHe called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.

NIVWoe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!

Matthew Chapter 19

NIVWhen Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan.

NIV"Why then," they asked, "did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?"

NIVJesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

NIVJesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.

NIVFor there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others-and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it."

NIVThen people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.

NIVJesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

NIVJesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

NIVWhen the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

NIVThen Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.

NIVAgain I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God."

NIVWhen the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?"

NIVJesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

NIVJesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

NIV"For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard.
20:2和合本和工人講定一天一錢銀子，就打發他們進葡萄園去。
NIVHe agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and sent them into his vineyard.
20:3和合本約在巳初出去，看見市上還有閒站的人，
NIV"About nine in the morning he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing.
20:4和合本就對他們說：『你們也進葡萄園去，所當給的，我必給你們。』他們也進去了。
NIVHe told them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.'
20:5和合本約在午正和申初又出去，也是這樣行。
NIVSo they went. "He went out again about noon and about three in the afternoon and did the same thing.
20:6和合本約在酉初出去，看見還有人站在那裡，就問他們說：『你們為什麼整天在這裡閒站呢？』
NIVAbout five in the afternoon he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, 'Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?'

NIV" 'Because no one has hired us,' they answered. "He said to them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard.'

NIV'These who were hired last worked only one hour,' they said, 'and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.'

NIV"But he answered one of them, 'I am not being unfair to you, friend. Didn't you agree to work for a denarius?

NIVTake your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you.

NIV"So the last will be first, and the first will be last."

NIVNow Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them,

NIV"What is it you want?" he asked. She said, "Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom."

NIV"You don't know what you are asking," Jesus said to them. "Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?" "We can," they answered.

NIVJesus said to them, "You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father."

NIVTwo blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

NIVThe crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

NIVJesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked.

NIVAs they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,
21:2和合本耶穌就打發兩個門徒，對他們說：「你們往對面村子裡去，必看見一匹驢拴在那裡，還有驢駒同在一處；你們解開，牽到我這裡來。
NIVsaying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me.
21:3和合本若有人對你們說什麼，你們就說：『主要用他。』那人必立時讓你們牽來。
NIVIf anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away."
21:4和合本這事成就是要應驗先知的話，說：

NIVBut if we say, 'Of human origin'-we are afraid of the people, for they all hold that John was a prophet."

NIVSo they answered Jesus, "We don't know." Then he said, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.

NIV"What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work today in the vineyard.'

NIV"Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.

NIVWhen the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.

NIV"Then he sent some more servants and said, 'Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.'

NIV"But they paid no attention and went off-one to his field, another to his business.

NIVBut about the resurrection of the dead-have you not read what God said to you,

NIVSo you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.

NIVThey tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

NIVAs Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

NIVJesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you.

NIVFor many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many.

NIVYou will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

NIVHe will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

NIVThe foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.
25:4和合本聰明的拿著燈，又預備油在器皿裡。
NIVThe wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.
25:5和合本新郎遲延的時候，他們都打盹，睡著了。
NIVThe bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

NIVPeter replied, "Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will."

NIV"Truly I tell you," Jesus answered, "this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times."

NIVBut Peter declared, "Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you." And all the other disciples said the same.

NIVThen Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."

NIVHe took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.

NIVThen he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."

NIV"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

NIVHe went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done."

NIVNow the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: "The one I kiss is the man; arrest him."

NIVWith that, one of Jesus' companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.

NIV"Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.

NIVBut how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"

NIVIn that hour Jesus said to the crowd, "Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching, and you did not arrest me.

NIVBut this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled." Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

NIVThose who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled.

NIVBut Peter followed him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest. He entered and sat down with the guards to see the outcome.

NIVThe chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death.

NIVBut they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward
26:61和合本「這個人曾說：『我能拆毀神的殿，三日內又建造起來。』」
NIVand declared, "This fellow said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.' "

NIVThen the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, "Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?"

NIVBut Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God."

NIV"You have said so," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

NIVBut he denied it before them all. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said.

NIVThen he went out to the gateway, where another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, "This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth."

NIVHe denied it again, with an oath: "I don't know the man!"

NIVAfter a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, "Surely you are one of them; your accent gives you away."

NIVThen he began to call down curses, and he swore to them, "I don't know the man!" Immediately a rooster crowed.

Matthew Chapter 27

NIVEarly in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people made their plans how to have Jesus executed.
27:2和合本就把他捆綁，解去，交給巡撫彼拉多。
NIVSo they bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate the governor.
27:3和合本這時候，賣耶穌的猶大看見耶穌已經定了罪，就後悔，把那三十塊錢拿回來給祭司長和長老，說：
NIVWhen Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders.
27:4和合本「我賣了無辜之人的血是有罪了。」他們說：「那與我們有什麼相干？你自己承當吧！」
NIV"I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood." "What is that to us?" they replied. "That's your responsibility."
27:5和合本猶大就把那銀錢丟在殿裡，出去吊死了。
NIVSo Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.
27:6和合本祭司長拾起銀錢來，說：「這是血價，不可放在庫裡。」
NIVThe chief priests picked up the coins and said, "It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money."
27:7和合本他們商議，就用那銀錢買了窯戶的一塊田，為要埋葬外鄉人。
NIVSo they decided to use the money to buy the potter's field as a burial place for foreigners.
27:8和合本所以那塊田直到今日還叫做「血田」。
NIVThat is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day.

NIVThen what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: "They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price set on him by the people of Israel,

NIVand they used them to buy the potter's field, as the Lord commanded me."
27:11和合本耶穌站在巡撫面前；巡撫問他說：「你是猶太人的王嗎？」耶穌說：「你說的是。」
NIVMeanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" "You have said so," Jesus replied.

NIVWhen he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer.
27:13和合本彼拉多就對他說：「他們作見證告你這麼多的事，你沒有聽見嗎？」
NIVThen Pilate asked him, "Don't you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?"
27:14和合本耶穌仍不回答，連一句話也不說，以致巡撫甚覺希奇。
NIVBut Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge-to the great amazement of the governor.
27:15和合本巡撫有一個常例，每逢這節期，隨眾人所要的釋放一個囚犯給他們。
NIVNow it was the governor's custom at the festival to release a prisoner chosen by the crowd.
27:16和合本當時有一個出名的囚犯叫巴拉巴。
NIVAt that time they had a well-known prisoner whose name was Jesus Barabbas.
27:17和合本眾人聚集的時候，彼拉多就對他們說：「你們要我釋放那一個給你們？是巴拉巴呢？是稱為基督的耶穌呢？』
NIVSo when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, "Which one do you want me to release to you: Jesus Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?"
27:18和合本巡撫原知道他們是因為嫉妒才把他解了來。
NIVFor he knew it was out of self-interest that they had handed Jesus over to him.
27:19和合本正坐堂的時候，他的夫人打發人來說：「這義人的事，你一點不可管，因為我今天在夢中為他受了許多的苦。」
NIVWhile Pilate was sitting on the judge's seat, his wife sent him this message: "Don't have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him."

NIVBut the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.

NIV"Which of the two do you want me to release to you?" asked the governor. "Barabbas," they answered.

NIV"What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?" Pilate asked. They all answered, "Crucify him!"

NIV"Why? What crime has he committed?" asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, "Crucify him!"

NIVWhen Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. "I am innocent of this man's blood," he said. "It is your responsibility!"
27:25和合本眾人都回答說：「他的血歸到我們和我們的子孫身上。」
NIVAll the people answered, "His blood is on us and on our children!"
27:26和合本於是彼拉多釋放巴拉巴給他們，把耶穌鞭打了，交給人釘十字架。
NIVThen he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

NIVThen the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him.
27:28和合本他們給他脫了衣服，穿上一件朱紅色袍子，
NIVThey stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him,
27:29和合本用荊棘編做冠冕，戴在他頭上，拿一根葦子放在他右手裡，跪在他面前，戲弄他，說：「恭喜，猶太人的王啊！」
NIVand then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. "Hail, king of the Jews!" they said.
27:30和合本又吐唾沫在他臉上，拿葦子打他的頭。
NIVThey spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again.
27:31和合本戲弄完了，就給他脫了袍子，仍穿上他自己的衣服，帶他出去，要釘十字架。
NIVAfter they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

NIVAs they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross.

NIVThey came to a place called Golgotha (which means "the place of the skull").

NIVAnd sitting down, they kept watch over him there.

NIVAbove his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.

NIV"He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself! He's the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.

NIVHe trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, 'I am the Son of God.' "

NIVFrom noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land.

NIVAbout three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lemasabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?").

NIVWhen some of those standing there heard this, they said, "He's calling Elijah."

NIVImmediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink.

NIVThe rest said, "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to save him."
27:50和合本耶穌又大聲喊叫，氣就斷了。
NIVAnd when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.
27:51和合本忽然，殿裡的幔子從上到下裂為兩半，地也震動，磐石也崩裂，
NIVAt that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split

NIVand the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
27:53和合本到耶穌復活以後，他們從墳墓裡出來，進了聖城，向許多人顯現。
NIVThey came out of the tombs after Jesus' resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

NIVWhen the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!"

NIVMany women were there, watching from a distance. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to care for his needs.

NIVAmong them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of Zebedee's sons.

NIVAs evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus.

NIVGoing to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him.
27:59和合本約瑟取了身體，用乾淨細麻布裹好，
NIVJoseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
27:60和合本安放在自己的新墳墓裡，就是他鑿在磐石裡的。他又把大石頭輥到墓門口，就去了。
NIVand placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.

NIVMary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there opposite the tomb.

NIVThe next day, the one after Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate.

NIV"Sir," they said, "we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, 'After three days I will rise again.'

NIVSo give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first."
27:65和合本彼拉多說：「你們有看守的兵，去吧！盡你們所能的把守妥當。」
NIV"Take a guard," Pilate answered. "Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how."
27:66和合本他們就帶著看守的兵同去，封了石頭，將墳墓把守妥當。
NIVSo they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.


Matthew Chapter 28

NIVAfter the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
28:2和合本忽然，地大震動；因為有主的使者從天上下來，把石頭輥開，坐在上面。
NIVThere was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.
28:3和合本他的像貌如同閃電，衣服潔白如雪。
NIVHis appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
28:4和合本看守的人就因他嚇得渾身亂戰，甚至和死人一樣。
NIVThe guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
28:5和合本天使對婦女說：「不要害怕！我知道你們是尋找那釘十字架的耶穌。
NIVThe angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

NIVSo the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
28:9和合本忽然，耶穌遇見他們，說：「願你們平安！」他們就上前抱住他的腳拜他。
NIVSuddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him.
28:10和合本耶穌對他們說：「不要害怕！你們去告訴我的弟兄，叫他們往加利利去，在那裡必見我。」
NIVThen Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."
28:11和合本他們去的時候，看守的兵有幾個進城去，將所經歷的事都報給祭司長。
NIVWhile the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.
28:12和合本祭司長和長老聚集商議，就拿許多銀錢給兵丁，說：
NIVWhen the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money,
28:13和合本「你們要這樣說：『夜間我們睡覺的時候，他的門徒來，把他偷去了。』
NIVtelling them, "You are to say, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.'
28:14和合本倘若這話被巡撫聽見，有我們勸他，保你們無事。」
NIVIf this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble."
28:15和合本兵丁受了銀錢，就照所囑咐他們的去行。這話就傳說在猶太人中間，直到今日。
NIVSo the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.
28:16和合本十一個門徒往加利利去，到了耶穌約定的山上。
NIVThen the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
28:17和合本他們見了耶穌就拜他，然而還有人疑惑。
NIVWhen they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.
28:18和合本耶穌進前來，對他們說：「天上地下所有的權柄都賜給我了。
NIVThen Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
28:19和合本所以，你們要去，使萬民作我的門徒，奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗（或作：給他們施洗，歸於父、子、聖靈的名）。
NIVTherefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
28:20和合本凡我所吩咐你們的，都教訓他們遵守，我就常與你們同在，直到世界的末了。」
NIVand teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
