馬太福音 第三章
In those days

John the Baptist appeared,
バプテスマのヨハネが現れ。
施洗約翰出來，
preaching in the wilderness of Judea
ユダヤの荒野で宣べ伝えて。
在猶太的曠野傳道，
and saying,
こう言った。
說：
"Repent,
「悔い改めよ。
「你們要悔改！
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
天の御国が近づいたから。」
因為天國近了。」
For this is he
このヨハネこそ。
這人就是
who was spoken of by the prophet
Isaiah when he said,
預言者イザヤによって。
藉著先知以賽亞所說的：
"The voice of one crying
in the wilderness:
「荒野で叫ぶ者の声がする。
「在曠野有人聲喊著說：
'Prepare the way of the Lord,
『主の道を用意し。
『預備主的道，
make his paths straight.'"
その通り道をまっすぐにせよ』」
と言われた人物である。

Now John himself
このヨハネは。
這約翰
wore clothing of camel's hair
らくだの毛ごろもを着。
身穿駱駝毛的衣服，
and a leather belt
around his waist,
腰に皮の帯を締め。
腰束皮帶，
and his food
その食物は。
他的食物
was locusts and wild honey.
いなごと野蜜であった。
是蝗蟲和野蜜。
Then
そこで。
那時，
Jerusalem and all Judea
and all the region about the Jordan
エルサレムとユダヤ全土
とヨルダン川沿いの
全地方の人々が。
耶路撒冷和猶太全地，
以及約旦河一帶的人，
were going out to him,
ヨハネのところへ出て行き。
都出來到約翰那裡，
confessing their sins,
自分の罪を告白して。

and they were baptized by him
in the river Jordan.

But when he saw

many of the Pharisees and Sadducees

coming to his baptism,

也來受洗，
he said to them,

就對他們說：
"You brood of vipers!
「まむしの子孫よ。
「毒蛇的種類！
Who

誰
warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
やがて来る御怒りを逃れるように。
指示你們逃避那將要來的憤怒呢？
Who instructed you?
あなたがたに指図したのか。
是誰指示你們的？
Therefore
それなら。
你們要
bear fruit in keeping with repentance.
悔い改めにふさわしい実を結びなさい。
結出果子來，與悔改的心相稱。
And do not presume
あなたがたは。
不要
to say to yourselves,
'We have Abraham as our father,'
『自分たちの父はアブラハムだ』
などと心の中で思わないように気をつけなさい。
自己心裡說：『有亞伯拉罕為我們的祖宗。』
for I tell you,
わたしはあなたがたに言いますが。
我告訴你們，
God is able
神は。
神能
from these stones
これらの石ころからでも。
從這些石頭中
to raise up children for Abraham.
アブラハムの子孫を
造り出すことがおできになるのです。
給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。
Even now the axe is
laid to the root of the trees.
斧はすでに木の根元に置かれています。
現在斧子已經放在樹根上，
Therefore
ですから。
所以，
every tree that does not bear good fruit
良い実を結ばない木はみな。
凡不結好果子的樹
is cut down and thrown into the fire.
切り倒されて火に投げ込まれます。

I baptize you
私はあなたがたを。
我是用水
with water for repentance,
悔い改めのために
水でバプテスマを施していますが。
給你們施洗，叫你們悔改。
but he who is coming after me
私の後に来られる方は。
但那在我以後來的，
is mightier than I,
私よりも力のある方です。
能力比我更大，
whose sandals I am not worthy to carry.
私はその方のくつを
脱がせてあげる資格さえありません。
我就是給他提鞋也不配。
He will baptize you
その方は。

with the Holy Spirit and fire.
あなたがたに
聖霊と火でバプテスマを施されます。
用聖靈與火給你們施洗。
Also,

in his hand

is a winnowing fork,

and he will clear his threshing floor

and gather his wheat into the barn,

but the chaff he will
burn with unquenchable fire."

把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」
Then Jesus came
そのころ。
當下，
from Galilee to the Jordan to John,
イエスはガリラヤからヨルダン川に来られ。
耶穌從加利利來到約旦河，
to be baptized by him.
ヨハネのところへ行って。
見了約翰，
intending to be baptized by him.
彼からバプテスマを受けようとされた。
要受他的洗。
But John
ところが。
約翰
tried to prevent him, saying,
ヨハネはそれを思いとどまらせようとして言った。
想要攔住他，說：
"I need to be baptized by you,
「私があなたからバプテスマを受けるべきなのに。
「我當受你的洗，
and do you come to me?"
あなたが私のところにおいでになるのですか。」
你反倒上我這裡來嗎？」
But
しかし。
但
Jesus answered him,
イエスは答えて言われた。
耶穌回答說：
"Let it be so now,
「今はそうさせなさい。
「你暫且許我，
for thus it is fitting
このようにして。
因為我們理當
to fulfill all righteousness.
すべての義を成就することが。
這樣盡諸般的義。
It is proper for us."
私たちにふさわしいのです。」
這原是合宜的。
Then
そこで。
於是
he consented.
ヨハネはイエスにそうさせた。
約翰許了他。
And when Jesus was baptized,
イエスはバプテスマをお受けになると。
耶穌受了洗，
immediately he went up from the water,
すぐに水から上がられた。
隨即從水裡上來。
and behold,
すると。
忽然
behold,
見よ。
看見
the heavens were opened to him,
天が開け。
天為他開了，
and he saw the Spirit of
God descending like a dove
and coming to rest on him;
神の御霊が鳩のようにご
自分に下って来るのを御覧になった。
他看見神的靈彷彿鴿子降下，落在他身上。
and
そして。
然後。
behold,
見よ。
看見。
a voice from heaven said,
天からこう告げる声がした。
從天上有聲音說：
"This is
「これは。
「這是
my beloved Son,
わたしの愛する子。
我的愛子，
with whom I am well pleased."
わたしが心から喜ぶ者である。」
我所喜悅的。」
